Burglar Point Of Entry Welding Repair To Metal Gate in Del Mar

A small condominium complex was experiencing car burglaries and storage room break ins inside their enclosed parking structure. We conducted a security survey and concluded that one point of entry was a gate that had a gap cut / worn in the wire screen mesh. A stick could be inserted into this gap and the lever could easily be depressed, retracting the latch and allowing entry. We cut out the damged section of screen, welded a piece of replacement mesh in place and applied rust inhibitor. We also replaced the lever with a knob to prevent / discourage similar attacks in the future.
