The homeowners inside knob broke off of their vintage Baldwin handleset. Repair was not a practicle option. The closest matching Baldwin was special ordered. In the meantime, the doors latch was removed to prevent the occupants from not being able to exit their front door.  When the new handleset arrived additional modification was required to achieve a perfect fit.
